Videogame developer company nDreams has announced that they will be investing $35 million from the support of Aonic Group, for their studio growth and development. They have also confirmed that they are working on several future projects for the PlayStation VR2.
In a statement for the press release, nDreams CEO Patrick O’Luanaigh said that will be crucial for nDreams, and that he is “delighted to have the support of Aonic, who share the same ambitious vision for the company” that they do too. Since VR is rapidly growing as a “mass market technology”, the company feels like this is the moment that will help them to heighten their growth and “take advantage of the many opportunities” that come.
nDreams has been developing VR games since 2014; it’s most popular titles include Far Cry: Dive Into Insanity, Fracked, Phantom: Covert Ops etc. Recently the company had also announced 2 new studios – nDreams Studio Elevation that will focus mainly on the development on AAA VR games and nDreams Studio Orbital that will majorly work on live VR games. Since the company’s formation in August 2006, it has worked on various project for Sony’s Playstation Home and Playstation VR. Today it has become one of the leading VR Game developers in the virtual reality industry and has also set up a fund to support and publish VR games made by indie developers.
